The Outpatient Surgery Center offers the convenience of surgery close to home under the skilled hands of a highly respected surgeon, Dr. Teb Thames, while in the recently renovated outpatient surgical suites at Cogdell Memorial Hospital.
Outpatient General Surgery
Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, Dr. Thames is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Thames has over three decades of experience as a surgeon. A graduate of University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas, he has practiced in Lubbock, Texas following his residency at the University of Texas San Antonio.
Some of his most frequently performed procedures are gallbladder removal and hernia surgery, among others. He performs all aspects of general surgery, as well as thyroid surgery, skin lesions, gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery and breast surgery.
Dr. Thames provides weekly regional general surgery clinics in Lubbock and in Snyder and performs outpatient surgery at Cogdell Memorial Hospital in Snyder, Texas and Covenant Medical Center and High Plains Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas.
When he’s not working, Dr. Thames enjoys spending time with his family as well as the time-honored tradition of ranching in West Texas.
