GENERAL
Position Overview
Under the leadership of an RN, begins a focused assessment of patient and initiates patient admission in the data base. Provides skilled and safe nursing care to assigned patients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate from an accredited school of vocational nursing.
Experience
Previous experience in medical surgical nursing preferred.
Knowledge Of
Knowledge of medications and pharmacology at a level appropriate to the
scope of licensure and professional expertise; general practice medicine
and medical terminology; standard diagnostic and medical equipment and
instruments; basic computer skills.
Licenses / Certifications / Registries
Current LVN license from the State Board of Nurse Examiners by the
State of Texas with renewal as required by law; current BLS certification.
OTHERS
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
