Position Overview
Supervises and manages staff performing health information management functions in their assigned areas. Assists in preparation of information and correspondence of charts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required
Experience
Three years of acute care medical records and coding experience required
Knowledge Of
ICD-10 CM, CPT and HCPCS codes; Proficient computer skills including Microsoft applications; knowledgeable of scanner and fax applications.
Licensure/Certification
R.H.I.T required
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
