GENERAL
Position Overview
| Assists as directed in providing care for patients from various types of illness or trauma requiring a surgical intervention. Assists with the maintenance of surgical equipment and inventory. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate of an accredited Licensed Vocational Nursing program or a high school graduate with formal training as a Scrub Tech.
Experience
Minimum of one year of work experience in the operating room highly desired
Knowledge Of
Basic computer skills a must; able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Licensure/Certification
Must be licensed as a Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas or possess certification as a Scrub Tech; current CPR or BLS
OTHERS
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
