GENERAL
Position Overview
Provides direct and indirect patient care in the office setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Determines priorities of care based on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Communicates with office physicians about changes in patient’s status, symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of an accredited School of Vocational Nursing
Experience
Previous experience in general nursing required; previous experience in an Orthopedic Clinic setting highly desired.
Knowledge Of
Basic computer skills; strong verbal and written communication skills.
Licenses / Certifications / Registries
Current licensure as a Vocational Nurse in the State of Texas with renewal as required by law; BLS
OTHERS
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
