Speech-Language Pathologist

GENERAL
Position Overview

Evaluations, plans and administers comprehensive speech therapy modalities/regimens as prescribed by a physician to patients with speech, voice, language, cognitive-communicative and oral-pharyngeal swallowing disorders in their place of residence for the purpose of improving and/or restoring speech and/or swallowing functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Master’s or Doctoral Graduate in the area of Speech Therapy/Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university or college.

Experience

One (1) year of work experience; prior home health care experience preferred.

Knowledge Of

Able to communicate effective in English, both verbally and in writing; strong written and verbal skills; proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office applications; additional languages preferred.

Licenses / Certifications /  Registries

Must be licensed by the State of Texas as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association; current BLS; valid state driver’s license; proof of current automobile insurance.
