
GENERAL
Position Overview
Responsible for the administration and direct application of Speech-Language Pathology (SL) treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Evaluates, plans, directs and treats all patients referred to SLP. SLP treatments help to restore function and prevent disability following a disease or injury. Assists patients to obtain maximum performance and function in society while learning to live a routine “normal” life within the constraints of their disability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Master’s degree in Speech Therapy/Speech-Language Pathology
Experience
Previous experience as a speech-language pathologist is required along with experience in the home health care setting.
Knowledge Of
Able to communicate effective in English, both verbally and in writing; strong written and verbal skills; basic Microsoft Office applications; additional languages preferred
Licenses / Certifications / Registries
Must be licensed by the State of Texas as a Speech-Language Pathologist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence; current BLS
OTHERS
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
