Pharmacist

GENERAL
Position Overview

Interprets physician prescriptions and medication orders. Acts as a drug information resource to patients, medical staff, nursing staff and ancillary department staff.  Compounds and dispenses prescribed medications and other pharmaceuticals for patient care by performing the related duties.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education

Bachelor of Science degree or PharmD from ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy

Experience

One (1) year of experience in a hospital setting required

Knowledge Of

Basic computer skills; automated pharmacy

Licenses / Certifications /  Registries

Current Pharmacist license in the State of Texas

OTHERS
Personality / Interpersonal Skills

Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
