GENERAL
Position Overview
Responsible for the 24/7 direction of patient care services in the medical surgical and progressive care units. Consults with staff, physicians and Nurse Administration on nursing problems and interpretation of hospital policies to ensure patient needs are met.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Graduate from an accredited registered school of nursing, BSN preferred. Successful completion of arrhythmia course.
Experience
Three (3) or more years of previous experience in all aspects of medical surgical nursing and a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience required.
Knowledge Of
Knowledge of medications and pharmacology at a level appropriate to the scope of licensure and professional expertise; general practice
medicine and medical terminology; standard diagnostic and medical equipment and instruments; proficient computer skills.
Licenses / Certifications / Registries
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with the State of Texas. Current BLS.
