GENERAL
Position Overview
Performs routine maintenance duties and special projects for the hospital, campus facilities and houses. Duties include maintenance for normal wear and tear on hospital boilers, chillers, plumbing, electrical, locks, keys, and security. The maintenance tech duties also includes providing transportation services for patients in the community utilizing the hospital’s shuttle bus. Rotates taking after hours and weekend call. Steam boiler must be check twice daily when on call.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school graduate or equivalent
Experience
Minimum one year of experience in at least one of the trades related to the position.
Certification
BLS; must possess valid Texas Driver’s license
Knowledge Of
Basic computer skills; mechanical aptitude required; maintenance practices, tool and equipment used. Must have a clean driving record.
Personality / Interpersonal Skills
Appreciation of and the desire to be part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care.
