GENERAL
Position Overview
| Provides supervision and direction of the radiology staff and maintains the radiology department within state and regulatory compliance. |
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
High school graduate or equivalent; graduate of a radiology education program under the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) with current Texas Medical Board Radiology Tech license and American Registry of Radiology Technologist (RT(R) registered radiologist certification or graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program with successful completion of an American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography examination (ARMDS). Completion of a Radiation Safety Officer course required.
Experience
Previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience in working directly with picture archiving and communications systems (PACS).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft applications; strong reasoning/critical thinking skills; excellent time management, collaboration, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Licensure/Certification
Current Texas Medical Board Radiology Technologist license or ARMDS. BLS required.
