Foundation Background

The D.M. Cogdell Memorial Hospital Foundation was organized and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) on March 18, 1981, for the primary purpose to receive and maintain a fund or funds of real and personal property for the exclusive benefit of Cogdell Memorial Hospital.

The Cogdell Memorial Hospital Foundation has been instrumental in securing funds and assisting the hospital with the purchase of materials for major renovation projects and equipment as well as helping to meet other needs.

Benefits for the hospital and patients have been:

  • Colonoscope, laryngoscope, anesthesia equipment and an oscillating saw for the operating room

  • Scholarships for physical therapy, nursing and medical students
